[Closed] Overweight passengers to pay for 2 seats. !!!! only slightly a guilty laugh

6ft1 and 92kg but I do a lot of gym work for vanity/summer pulling.

(race weight of 80kg)

I find my knees get slaughtered in planes when the ppl lean back!

I like how the airlines get the plane and mod it to have more seats...

sfb - thanks 🙂 I quite like being large enough to have enough inertia for peoples shoulder-barging tactics in shopping centres to have the opposite of the desired effect, but it does pose problems in public transport! I'd actually say 92kg, as per zaskar, is my ideal weight (i.e. spending time in the gym every day, I used to) but recent a sedentary period (of 4 years) left me in orc form 😀

If I am old and infirm, I can have a note from the doctor and sit at the front.

If I pay extra, I can get an exit seat.

If I am tall, I can pay extra for a seat that fits and doesn't risk me DVT.

I ****in hates airlines I do - and Teejay - he's on the list as well - Surrey Highlander that he is.

We should all be fighting for decent sized seats for the fatties.

If all seats were built to take fatties then it would more comfortable for all of us.

I'm fed up of flying in seats designed for very small Asians.

How about having a doorway you have to fit through before check-in that is only wide enough to take into account the size of the seats on the aircraft? If Mr and Mrs Fatbody touch the sides an alarm goes off, they are refused passage and their passport is taken off them until they have learned when to stop shoving pies in their greedy fat gobs.

Of course you could always stop being so tightfisted and fly scheduled. Different airlines put different numbers of seats in the planes - easyjet and so on give you the legal minimum space, some scheduled airlines give you significantly more

LOL!

I like it!

It's proper wrong, but I still like it.

S'true though; why should I have to subsidise all the fatties, and those what suffer from longness? Why should I have to be penalised for their greediness, and mutant genes?

I'm with the 'pay per weight' idea. Me and my maximum luggage is still less than some fayt people alone, so they should have tro pay extra.

It's not discriminatory; it's simple economics. You fayt; it cost more to propel your bulk through the air. You should pay more.

I tell you; RudeAir would have a maximum height and weight limit. Too big? Then fly freight.

Tall people - you should have smoked as children. You've only yourselves to blame.

Genes - a likely story. Isn't that what fat people blame too.

oi less of the fatties

I'm married to one and really appreciate it in winter 🙂

Shame there's no EU regulation that stops people being squeezed into tiny spaces. The airlines will keep reducing seat size until there is suitable regulation.

If there is regulation, we need to get it changed.

Same way I have to be penalised by people drinking and smoking maybe?

That's just because you're a wiry whippet with a small frame 🙂 Even when I had a very visible 6 pack and about 7% body fat at the age of 17-18 I was 20Kg heavier than you 🙂

I think that may make you part of the problem, not the solution 🙁

Tall folk should shut up and pay for extra leg room - it's common knowledge and backed up by a lot of research that the taller you are the more fiscally sucsessful you will be, add to this you will be significantly less angry with other aspects of your life, and add to this again that women will find you much more attractive than your short arsed counterparts. Realistically how much do you travel and how much through the course of your life will this cost you in paying for extra leg room? much that than the emotional scaring (and possible dwarf related therapy) and humiliation of being a angry short arsed peckerwood that's for damn sure!

But fat people should pay for two seats, if only to teach them a lesson - as Mudshark says they could well steal your food - or eat or your children.

That's why they make us put up with short legroom seats, because they know that us tallies will never complain, unlike the "terrier" shot-arses that moan about everything and start fights a lot.

And as for flying scheduled... I do that, but I still get beaten to the legroom seats by the midgets. The tricky little swines...

You think I haven't researched the industry I've worked in? I'm also talking sched flights and not package rubbish. 31 - 32" is the standard seat pitch - pitch being the distance between two like points on two seats - not the 'leg room'. I'm in the 99th percentile - they will never design for my size, but I expect them to be able to seat me somewhere at no extra cost.

you misunderstand, tiny, shrill voiced people (like me for instance) are bitter; lanky streaks of piss have legitimate grievances...

TooTall - Plenty of legroom on an Albert (though the seats are a little rough) and there is a fair bit on the Funbus, what with its back to front seating. Not really fair though to compare such 'high quality' aircraft with those of Easyjet etc. 😉

Albert + hammock over the ramp = comfort

sfb - for once, first time ever, you have actually got it.
