I'm 58 and just have B12 as a daily supplement having had tests to show it was low.
I reckon I might take magnesium to try and help my nerve pain, which is causing burning and tingling sensation in my left leg, despite physio.
Otherwise three different BP tablets as I was hospitalised in 2015 with dangerously high BP.
The leg pain is a nuisance as it puts me off riding and walking when really I need to be doing more and staying active.
Oh Teej. as ever the denier. Nearly 3 years into full carnivore here. No gout, no scurvy, 3+ stone in weight down. No colds, no ailments, 55 years old and the same weight as I was at 18 (11.5 stone). The science is there to prove it. Open your eyes.
the science prooves you fad diet is unhealthy and dangerous. This is not debatable. Its proven
you will be unable to link to any real science supporting your dietbecause there is none
Having watched 'In search of the bluezones', where they visited all the places where people regularly lived past 100, the one thing they had in common was very little or no meat.
On the suppliment front, I bumped into a lad that I vaguely know who always looks very good, in an athletic kind of way, and he was looking particularly lean but still strong but was also that kind of shade of brown that you only get by spending way too much time in the sun. I asked him where he had been and he said, 'nowhere, it must be the peptides, I only went for a sunbed and came out this colour!'
Maybe in the future, it will turn out that some peptides are as widely tested and recommended as creatine, for us old boys and girls but right now its the wildest of wests...
I'm on the usual collection of supplements - Wellman 50+, omega 3 with EPA and DHA, vit d, and magnesium glycinate.
The real difference I've noticed is taking magnesium my sleep has improved no ends.
I am also thinking about adding creatine to the list, but one thing at a time.
Vit D October to March. Magnesium, but only when I get restless legs and/or muscle cramps after a big day out.
Tumeric & black pepper every day.
