Wynnster used to do a good tough all in one fleece thing.

We found our youngest was allergic to a lot of waterproof chemicals. We found some really good Scandinavian waterproofs that he seems fine with. http://www.vikingkids.co.uk/waterproofs.htm They also have the advantage of being PROPERLY welded seam (not stiched) waterproof (i.e. sit in a puddle and nothing soaks through). Not sure what age they go down to (we got the Didricksons set).

Rukka and Muddy Puddles rainflex stuff are made from a similar material.

You can visit Little Trekkers and try stuff on if you're anywhere near Penistone - take your bike - Cut Gate is 5 mins away. The stuff we've bought from there has been cheaper than other places (waterproof stuff, Macpac carrier plus bits).

Why not looking at some ebay shops? Lot of traditional retailers have set up shops at ebay and you can get clothes at reasonable prices there. I became a fan of buying things online, it's often cheaper than buying them at traditional stores, you just have to take some time and do good research.

Big up for Littletrekkers. Good service.
Them fleece suits are brilliant for camping.
The all-in-one waterproofs are also excellent for wet days out.
