But over the many years of living on this planet I somehow expect a corporation such as the BBC could/should/would take more care in reading out news bulletins with a better grasp of the ‘Queens’ English.
So by 'our' language you actually mean a dialect that the vast majority of the country don't use or in fact understand which, as you confess you don't so how would you know any different?
What's the point in that?

Even the Queen has changed the way she speaks.
Yeh, I heard her say 'leave it arrt, ya mappit!" on her visit to the queen vic in east enders.

Clarkson was heavily into "tractoring, Sheeping etc" during Clarksons Farm. I like it 🙂
