Hi
Q from an ebay numpty
I just sold something to a pretty unpleasant guy on ebay
The transaction was difficult and he behaved like a bully
Things are now closed and ebay found in my favour and removed the malicious feedback he left me and credited my fees - which was unexpected actually but good for them
Anyway this guy lives an hour or so down the road
He came across as a bit of a nutter to say the least
Im curious about how much info he would have on me
I dont use ebay much and dont really look at sellers details when I buy myself
I sent him the standard invoice and also we emailed a lot but always through the ebay email system
Would my home address have been likely to show when I invoiced him?
And Im pretty sure my email is masked if I use the ebay email system isnt it?
Cheers - not panicking, just curious ๐
He almost certainly won't have your address - he'll just know that you are verified (or not) by ebay.
If he paid by paypal, I think he'll have your email address (since that's your paypal ID effectively).
Get him before he gets you! ๐
He can only request your details if he is still in a transaction with you - and you would know he'd done it as you would also be sent his details.
As an aside, I'm definitely going to start barring bidders with less than 10 feedback - there's so many total nutjobs out there. The latest one is complaining that he has to push the camera's motordrive with his forehead to make it focus properly. I mean, WTF???!!
He's probably 5'4", 8 stone dripping wet, it's t'internet innit! ๐
