Decided I need a multi tool so I'm getting a bare Makita 18v tool as I've got other batteries to swap about

Seems to a vast amount of blades on the market, whats good what not?

I'd love to know this too, useful tool, but the blades are pricey.

I use Erbauer and Bosch. Don't see a lot of difference but I'm usually only cutting skirting boards so I can put fitted wardrobes flush to the wall.

I get middle of the road stuff, they all seem much of a muchness.
I wouldn't bother with expensive ones unless only cutting clean wood, they are nail magnets...

Saxton Blades are fantastic.

Middle of the road here from proper tool factor, with the exception of a pricey diamond bosch job for cutting tiles where I couldn't get a grinder in position. Cheapos lasted seconds so a complete waste of money - to be fair the bosch one took a hammering, but it does still have some useful life in it.

Paying close attention to technique, not pushing/overheating the blade let the tool cut at its own pace . With a little patience you can dress Re sharpen a dull quality blade , it’s worth it for what they cost , diamond needle files work , can be done in front of the telly.

Sexton blades are well priced, not the best but ok.
Tool station do some that are white that are good. Trouble is with multi tools you often end up hitting a nail or the wall so the blade blunts really quickly.
