Just back from the marriage of my daughter. There were tears, laughter, beer and cheese. I also cried like a baby as I walked my gorgeous girl down the aisle! My speech was well received and I've had a bit too much beer. Best of all we can afford to eat for the rest of the month.
ahh thumbs up. that sounds great mate ๐
Congratulations! Hope the head's OK this morning.
When my baby girl was born, I told my wife she was only ours to look after until we found someone truly deserving that we could hand her on to. I dread and look forward to that day in equal measure; she's still only 9 so a few years yet hopefully.
Any other STW'ers done it? Pics of Dad's giving their girls away please!!
I love a good wedding. Ace story.
Pics a bit later as I took none, no phone either. Great to just enjoy the day and soak up memories talk to friends and family meet the friends of the bride and groom. We had a keg of ale brewed for us by Briarbank brewery in Ipswich with luck there will be some for the doggy bag. The grooms cake of local cheese plus cheddar and Yarg went down a treat. As did my homemade wedding cake. Big breakfast for hangover purposes soon.
Nothing beats a good wedding ๐
