The size of the shock looks like thee seatpost wiil impact the rear triangle.

Yep. No point getting the saddle out of the way if that means the suspension pretty much stops.

I don't think the seat post would hit the suspension, the opening video makes it look like they are out of line with each other and would bypass each other, or is that just the angle of the camera?
