Came across this site today, would make a great gift for the old man, and I'd do one for myself whilst I was at it - what's the likelyhood of being able to blend something that actually taste good?

That's looks pretty good, but you'd be able to get a good bottle of single malt for forty odd quid.

Yeah but not as much fun - bit more thought involved

Looks brilliant, lora fun, potential to blend something interesting - though it's hard to go on a name rather than a smell. I would give this to my dad.

I could see it working if you could actually taste it as you went along but just over the web doesn't work for me.

Actually a good blended whisky is far more difficult to achieve, the best ones cost a fortune

re whiskyblender.com

I can say that I bought a bottle rather made a bottle in the first week and all I can say is its amazing stuff. The early taste is good but it actually seems to change once its in the bottle - not maturing like - just joining up. It now tastes absolutely great and like a real malt. Incidentally I came up with a trial blend that was labelled a blended malt.

..and I'm scottish!
