[Closed] On the rather delicate subject of......farting.

Over the years (and there have been many) I've noticed that I seem to fart a lot less than many other folk - e.g. my workmates, friends. Not only that, but mine are mostly odourless, not the room-emptying stench type. I put this down to a fairly balanced diet and a minimal beer intake. However, things seem to have changed recently as it seems I'm constantly farting and they're usually rather ripe. Over the past 3 months or so, I've been doing a bit more intensive training, including the use of additives such as PSP22 and some energy gels. In addition, I've done a couple of sportives where I was using these as a bit of a performance enhancement. Now - I could accept the fact that these products could change my internal working a little, but it's now over two weeks since I used any and the farts are still frequent and rank. Is it possible that I've made some more permanent change to my gut chemistry? If so, is it reversible?

Heh!

Only way I've noticed, is when a fox shat in our garden, one place I lived. A dog had shat on a bit of grass outside, the same day. It was Summer. I noticed the dogshit was still there 3 weeks later! The fox shit had long gone. I deduced that this was 'cos dogs are fed dogfood which contains preservatives, thus extending the faecal decomposition period.

I concede this was not an entirely scientific test...

FWIW mine were rank this morning. But I had the best chicken Jal Frezi last night and a fair amount of beer. I think the main culprits were lots of garlic and chillies.

They absolutley hummed
