Needed to reformat my voice recorder for a project this week. Did it on the iMac through Disk Utility but now the device just says 'No Format' and won't do anything.
Turns out you're meant to do the format on the device via the menu, and not on the computer. Oops!
Are there files I need to put back on there?

I have an Olympus recorder. I'll see if I can copy and email the system files to you.
