isn't it time we built a carbon fibre tower into space ?
isn't it time we built a carbon fibre tower into space?
How hard can it be?
oh, I've just remembered it may have to be diamond fibre...
The entire world manufacturing industry is currently doing nowt. Between us we could cobble together a "space elevator" by the weekend.
Uplifts to the moon anyone?

Trails are crap and the pubs have little atmosphere.
I thought the fuel on these things was Hydrogen and Oxygen. Not much pollution really... Crap article.

yep, was diamond. But not sure the equatorial contries are politically stable enough for all the ground stations yet though ๐

From where do they get the H and O?
lol @ igm!
Wouldn't the high level of uv radiation kill the resins in a space bound carbon fibre structure? It would have to be manufactured in a vacuum to prevent voids in the structure also.
