Was discussing a local shop with my 70yr old mum earlier which sells all sorts of everything.
She remarked that it is "a really good glory hole"....I didn't have the heart to tell her what it means today 😳

At least she wasn't racist
Not that long ago an ice cream van turned up in our street and we had to stop my mother heading out before she asked for a "black man"

Had an old lady customer come to the front door to pay for window cleaning with a black and blue face having fallen against the Rayburn .When I showed concern I was told ,oh you should have seen me the other day I was as black as a **** minstrel
