i am curious what is likely to be happening to Creegan just now

Forensic recovery. Cregan will be treated as a "crime scene". He will then be given legal advice, once his solicitors have been given disclosure (if he has asked for representation). It is unlikely any in depth interview will take place tonight, unless it's just to obtain a first account.

He'll be up for 4 murders, no doubt an insanity plea will follow...

I'd have thought he'd just answer 'no comment ' to everything put to him.

Bregante - enormous respect for the job you do, even if you are from the wrong end of the 'Lancs'......

A very sad day. Nobody should go to work and not make it home at night.

Such a shame for a needless losses like that. When you hear these stories happen, it does make you think what could happen to you the next time you put the uniform on.

Bad bad times. Real loss. Rest In Peace ladies. Can't begin to imagine how tough that job is. Thoughts with their families and colleagues.

always tragic when people are killed needlessly at work, the death penalty stuff is just knee jerk, might as well call for mass extermination , its about as useful 😥

Another topic. However I applauded the MP who stood up in the House of Commons yesterday and defended the valuable lives of our servicemen and women being squandered in a place where we aren't welcome from all sides.

The suspect was on bail for another murder charge. That's not going to go down well. :/

Condolences to the officers' family, friends and colleagues.

Insufficient evidence to hold him according to radio report. Must be incredibly frustrating for officers. Just more crap news for a seriously undervalued service.

As Rogerthecat says insufficient evidence although they had been looking for him since 10th August when theftheater of the first murder was murdered nothing would haves changed the outcome of yesterday unfortunately. Awful awful day xx
