Sportscars - nah, not anymore.
Fancy bike - nope, barely glance at them now.
Designer clothes - not since my early 20s
But!... my neighbour has just had all his ridge tiles re-done - and they look very neat indeed. Couldn't help wishing mine were in such good order!
various neighbours of mine have:
4 post car lift
brand new ride on Kubota tractor mower
bobcat mini digger
JCB 3CX Sitemaster
I covet much.

Have you moved to either an industrial estate or adopted a 'traveller' lifestyle?
things you covet as you get older
Being able to get out of a chair without involuntarily making a noise like a slightly distressed cow.
... can't remember 🙁
A good night sleep. Part old man bladder, and part having small kids.
My neighbors ox
all these years and it is still my neighbors ox
Unimog, it's about the only motorised vehicle on the road that gets me excited.
A good nights sleep and a 100kg Snatch....
A tidy shed with lots of shelves and place for everything.
I never quiet achieve it
a nice sit down
Stomach muscles
Sleep - although not sure that is due to age as much as it is due to having children.
100kg Snatch
Always been easier to achive than 50kg snatch IME 😉
a 100kg Snatch
You'd need special knickers.
Frost resistant patio furniture.
saw some particularly nice Tulips at Chelsea last night....
Garden show....not vs West Brom!
A decent bottle opener.
My Weber.
My 4 stroke Briggs and Stratton mower.
Deep heat spray.
Good tools in the workshop.
Dental cover through work.
Spare time, in which I may choose to do sweet FA if I so desire.....
A sports car...
A garage for said sports car and bikes with a well appointed man cave section in which to waste my spare time
Espresso machines like Slayer or Synesso.
My neighbors ox
all these years and it is still my neighbors ox
Not your neighbour's ass then?
I can sympathise with retro83.
Comfy shoes.
and Youth!
I took the dogs for a walk in the woods over the road a few days back - down to and along the river, up the steps and along the top by the golf course. There's a bench at a good viewpoint where you can see for miles. I surprised two kids having a snog. They looked embarrassed and I just felt old. I've never felt older. Three times their age- old, old, old...
time, space and solitude.
I'm a long way from that.
and here is a young lady with not one, but twelve 100kg snatches...
Can't believe no ones said "an erection"
A good nights sleep and a 100kg Snatch....
Fat lasses are more appreciative apparently.
Can't believe no ones said "an erection"
We all thought it.

You are Fred across the road and ICMFP
Unimog, it's about the only motorised vehicle on the road that gets me excited.
This. I don't really get excited about motorised vehicles, but a Unimog with the massive camper body on the back, and a Delorean* would be good.
*I know they're rubbish. Don't care.
Solskjaer's put on weight. And WTF is the trekkie doing in the background ? Attempting a mind-map with the bloke background/right ?
ben, ahem, http://www.xor.org.uk/unimog/mymog.htm
in all honesty, some time for me. some selfish time. I have one weekend in june ahead that is me time. I cant recall the last time and see no others past the one in june.
oh and my neighbours new front wall and gate.
Stoner, yours? If so, I am very, very jealous.
unfortunately not, but Ive been [s]masturbating over[/s] returning to that site for years. I love it.
A big old drawing table, they come up on ebay quite a bit, it's just having the space to use one.

something like this
I haven't even got a use for it!
Been toying with the idea of chopping in the van, (oldish Peugeot Expert) and car (newish Seat Leon) and buying an even older van with more seats (Berlingo) and Porsche 911. [img]

Get something like that for well under £15k
knees...............I really covert properly functioning knees
youth.
I am 52, I could skip youth as such and all the hassle but trade it for some human growth hormone. Definitely missing the ability to recovery from injury. I still have a scar from a simple scratch trying to locate an old trail after forestry work 8 months ago and another from a rock ding in Chamonix nearly 3 years ago never mind the last knee injury.
I understand Human Growth Hormone you can buy 😳
@tthew - can I suggest a Cayman, you can get quite a new one for £15k
I want my Lotus back, and some chest hair to give it the full 3 button down crisis look.
Windows. I want windows in the stairwells in my house.
Stoner, that's awesome, that's just what I need.
100kg snatch? Dear gods! I can barely back squat that sort of weight and my PB for snatch is only 50kg. How??
As for coveting, I think that, as I get older, it's just time that I wish I had. These youngsters nowadays just don't realise how much of it they have. I never seem to have enough of it.
That feeling that your whole life is laid out in front of you and anything is possible.
Slippers & a warm, dry pair of socks after a wet ride 😀
I'm only 38 FFS 😳
Nothing odd about coveting her, Fankenstein!
Who is she?
I'd like a set of jars with organised screws/bolts/nails etc. ideally jam jars with metal lids screwed to the bottom of a shelf to keep them tidy in my shed that would smell of cuprinol and stale petrol.
Time, just more time - like a 27hr day or 8 day week or something.
It's my birthday in a few weeks, I'm treating myself to a day on my own ha ha
Being able to do a human flag, it's a massive step up from the front lever, i feel at the age of 52 it may elude me. 🙁
Yes, you can. I assumed they'd be a fair bit more expensive than that, but I suppose they've been out 7 or 8 years now.@tthew - can I suggest a Cayman, you can get quite a new one for £15k
JulianA - Emma Watson.
Thanks tthew- wondered if it was she.
Lovely!
At 58 I covet 20/20 vision, a full set of fully operative teeth, no tinnitus, knees that don't creak, groan & crack, the list goes on.
You can keep your sporty cars & fancy bikes, gimme my youth back!
Having the energy and motivation to push down the front and mosh like my life depends on it
Socks and gloves that do really keep my extremities warm.
Muck boots, the merino lined ones.
A wood burning stove.
Really nice, firm pillows.
A nice cake and coffee at he end of a long paddle/ride/walk.
Benji > Unimog, it's about the only motorised vehicle on the road that gets me excited.
We had one of these parked outside the house a few months ago. The looks it was getting from kids walking past from the local Jr school says this isn't just an older person's covet.
a custom telecaster and a really nice amp... I can't play at all well and have no desire to be in a band which makes the wish all the more irrational
Nothing odd, just a T4 conversion and Scarlett Johansson.
🙂
A caddy maxi life with tinted windows. A new kitchen.

twinw4ll, you inspire me. I'm 25 and am yet to be able to do a front lever. Good on you, keep at it and there's no reason you can't do a human flag at age 81...
Watch at 51 seconds.
