[Closed] Occupy Glasgow are outside my house

[#3361642]

They've set up their new camp right out the front of my house.

Whilst I agree with a general right for people to be able to protest, after having watched them since they arrived, what they are doing doesn't strike me as protesting. They are simply sleeping in a tent. I used to do that out my back garden when I was 12.

So I have 3 options:

1. Ignore them and wait until they go away.
2. Embrace them and take them cups of coffee.
3. Pitch my tent in my living room and lie in it watching TV whilst drinking a nice Pomerol, in full view of everyone at the camp ๐Ÿ™‚

You could set your tent up in the middle of theirs and occupy them

About 10 years ago I remember walking home from the pub through Blythswood Square.

For an 18 year old it was a bit of an eye opener.

From the picture, they don't really look like a bunch of wild-eyed anarchists. In fact, the one in the middle bares a worrying resemblance to Derek Starship. Does anyone know where he is?

As they start to get cold and tired, you could start a little bijou soup kitchen for them from your front door.

Should be a nice little earner... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Are they renting tent space by the hour? I'm sure Bythswood square has come on a bit these days.

Ah yes, I used to *ahem* work on the Square back then. Very interesting place to be after dark.

It's all quite boring now. The offices and hotels moving to the area pushed it all away about 5 years ago ๐Ÿ™

So this camp is making it a bit more interesting again.

Make sure its organic, vegan soup though. You'll get lynched otherwise.

Well.... either that or get a lecture on the unsustainability of our present meat-eating diet. I don't know what's worse

You could turn a healthy profit by selling them tea & hot dogs and charging them to use your toilet...

Set up a wifi access point and charge them for it, they can't do without their ipads and gizmos ๐Ÿ˜‰

Rather apologetically, one of the campaigners offers me proper coffee from an Italian-style espresso maker, that's bubbling away on the gas ring.

How civilised! ๐Ÿ™‚

There goes one of my money making ideas.

I could charge them for use of my cinema room?

What's their beef anyway?

That article doesn't say what they are protesting about maybe they need a PR manager or something

That's a shame, would have led to some interesting nights I imagine.
