Off to Uni end of sept, and at 22 I'd rather not be in halls! aha

Clearly I'm a cyclist, and a nice chap ๐Ÿ˜‰

Cheers

I commute in past the halls - frankly, if I was 22, I think I'd be MORE than happy there.......

Sadly, I'm 12 miles from the uni and I don't think the Mrs will let me rent out the spare room, certainly not to another potential riding mate. But if you want some totally non-gnar muddy bridleway bashing out Ilkeston way, give us a shout!

A mate of mine has rooms to rent in his house, about 4 miles from the Uni. He's a biker too. I'll ping him a link to this topic.

@ MoreCashThanDash.

Yeah, I'd be happy no doubt...but I reckon I'd loose it after a while, I like a bit of chilling time..as well as a drink now and again! AHah, no worries regarding the room, best to keep the Mrs happy hey, and certainly I shall give you a shout when I'm settled it. To be honest I'm more of a knarl-cor bridleway kinda guy though.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@ TimS.

That would be ideal buddy, thanks. Is he on facebook by any chance?

Thanks all,

Looking forward to my time in Nottingham!

I'm going into my 3rd year, Lenton's the main student area, I can't remember off the top of my head but there's private singles accomodation but blocks of flats for students who haven't got housemates near Lenton (off Derby road - think it's manor village IIRC).
Or Beeston's the other sort of student area, but mainly foreign students and those who don't want to go out into town and want to get their heads down and work live there.
Whatever happens it's gonna be a wicked 3 years.
My housemate didn't like his course after 2 years of it, so is starting again this year ages 21, there's a fair amount of older students floating about with double gap years before uni and all that kind of stuff.
