Is it still possible to get decent quality basic phones, or are all the new basic phones cheap and nasty. Bit sad I know, but something like a Nokia 3110c in a slimmer body would be fine.
I was actually in your position. Was fairly happy with my nokia 6500s or something, but it was falling apart. I didn't want to be dealing with touch screens (lovely to use, I just don't want one on my phone), poor battery life, crashes, silly price tags, etc. which seem to be linked to almost all smart phones.
So I got a blackberry curve 9360. I thought I was going to hate it, but it's actually lovely. Great battery life, works perfectly as a phone, doesn't crash, and it also has a few optional extras which are lovely, like email, internet, google maps, etc. etc.
Alternatively I've got a well used nokia 6500s somewhere I'm not using. Think it's locked to orange mind.
Must admit my other half has been happy with her BB. Perhaps I should listen to her more 🙂
