We have booked the kids in with my folks w/e of 10th August. Just trying to think of somewhere to go where we won't get there and say "this would be good with the girls"! Thoughts are either a city break with a show/comedy club or try and get a camping pod somewhere.
Would like to keep location wise north of warwick/south of newcastle if poss, depends on proximity to decent roads!
Any thoughts/recommendations? for either.

York? Stay a couple of nights, wander round the town, drive out to the coast, fish and chips in Whitby?
Liverpool? Manchester? Lake District B&B? Depends what you're after really - outdoorsy stuff, culture, restaurants etc
