Is this the best camera phone currently available..?
I'm due an upgrade and my long relationship with Sony Ericsson has finally run it's course.. the final nail in the coffin being a temperamental Satio that has sometimes been astonishingly brilliant and often been worse than useless..
Some of the N-series Nokias look the business..
Any thoughts..?
SE W995 has an 8.1 mp camera FWIW.
I now own two, because they are NOT very water resistant at all 🙁
Nokia N8 probably is best camera phone
Motorola Defy phone - cheaper will survive abuse, but camera wont be up to much
some compact cameras (that will survive some abuse) that might be worth a look unless you are hellbent on phone with decentish camera

Olympus tough camera
Panasonic FT2 camera
The SE Xperia X10 is pretty nifty. Nice photo quality and HD video recording too.
due to austerity measures.. the economic downturn.. the tories etc.. it unfortunately [b] has to [/b] be a camera phone on the old free upgrade..
My boss has just got an N8 and I'm after one next I think. Nice phones...
Yes it is...
Has better optics and low light performance than the rest...
only thing to bear in mind is how you transfer images...
Nokia has no easy way to upload to flickr,(pixelpipe is best 3rd party option)
But if you only want to sync imags to PC/FB/Twitter then out of box it will do that
