Both look alright. is the battery any good? Also is the 6700 worth the extra cash?

I was looking at both recently. I had read some reviews that suggest freezing screen issues with the 6700 but it does have GPS which could be useful. In the end, I pre-ordered an iPhone from Vodafone.

No, the 6700 actually has a GPS chip so that without a phone signal, it can find its own location. iPhone is a bit big, it's also bloody expensive compared to the two Nokias. I think I gave into a whim.

Go on to the Nokia website and compare features and battery life. Then choose which suits your needs best. Simples

Would do but don't know what all the features mean, plus nokia are clearly going to tell porkies in regards to the battery length where as you guys will not i hope.

Sorry but the features are self explanatory - just put some effort into it. If your priority is the camera, look for the number of pixels on the camera. If you want GPS, check it's included in the spec. Etc

All manufacturers produce battery life data not obtainable in the real world. Just compare the figures for each phone as that will give you a reasonable comparison. All non touch screen Nokias have excellent battery life - probably the best out there

My 6303 seems to last about 5 days between charges. But of course this all depends on how much someone uses their phone. In 5 days I'd probably send 50-100 texts but only spend 2 minutes calling people.

The 6303 has map software on it which is very impressive - just like google maps but available entirely offline and contains information on a wide range of points of interest (phone nos of shops, restaurants etc). If the 6700 has gps on top that could be a very useful addition though.

I'd say the camera is a bit disappointing - images are quite grainy - but I didn't buy it for the camera.

Cheers ally that sounds great, camera on a mobile will never be that good as the sensor are the weak link.
