Loved the film, if you didn't like the ending to that don't watch 'A Serious Man' which is also excellent, and (with the possibility of sounding melodramatic) made me think about my life and change a few things.

Blood Meridian sounds interesting.

If you like books on tape (great for a long drive), brad pitt does "All the pretty horses". The first book of the border trilogy, and he does it bloody well. I got it on tape for a few quid from ebay, but I think it is also available for download.

I generally like Coen Bros films. I 'understood' NCFOM. However I didn't think it warranted the five star creamy-pants reviews. It was alright.
