I can understand they might enhance sensitivity, but its a bit of a weird look IMO.

I have one of my nipples done. had it for nearly 10 years. I think it looks good only on one: plus the fact that as soon as you have the first one done, you won't want the other done - it hurts!

I am male however and we all know our pain tolerance is less than women!!

One of the best things I've done in a sexual way, I don't think anyone here would want me to expand on that.

You/She should be aware that it is (apparently) the area that takes longest to heal, Mine took around 12 months and I believe that is normal

Healing can vary between people but she is looking at 8-24 months in all honesty. Out of everything they have been known to cause some of the most amount of trouble, I have one that took over two years to heal then flared up again almost ten years later and is now on the verge of being taken out, this again is quite common. Then again the other one was healed in 8 months and has never given me any trouble in 8 years.
If you want to increase the chances of an easy heal then ask for a PTFE bar with Ti balls on the ends, it's slightly flexible and also one of the most bi-compatible things around, which is why they use it to make fake veins.

In Birmingham you want to be heading to modern body art, I think they are still down by the kids hospital in the centre of town although it is over 3 years since I have been. Really clean and friendly people.

Not at all Colin - unless something irritates it for a long time and causes a massive build up of scar tissue then all is fine (even then it's very rare to cause a problem), as the nipples are fed by loads of tiny pipes the milk just comes out of the other ones that aren't broken by your finest titanium.

I had both mine done a few years ago, with bolts.
I took them out in the end as they would sometimes snag on things and not good for certain sports.
If she does get them done she will never forget the first time she goes from a cold outside to a hot bath 😯

Also make sure everything comes in unopened sterilized packages.

Had one done about 10 yrs ago HURTS LIKE FFFF. But fun & whatever the piercers (is that a word?) say, TeaTree oil is the thing mine healed in 6-8 weeks
