I think its been mentioned on here before but The Barkley Marathons is a great documentary on Netflix about a trail running race in the states. Well worth a watch.

Just watched that - absolutely excellent. When I see things like that it makes me wish that I hadn't given up running, all those years ago. Wonderful, anyway.

Well done for running it. It was nice to see some of the spirit of long distance runners doing what they love.
How much of the race was on roads and gravel compared to fell or trails?

Sorry for the spoiler. Absolutely stunning part of the world which the film only scratches the surface of. I think people will be waiting a decade for such sunny settled weather though. From memory, it was probably 25% off track, 50% single track paths/trods and 25% gravel / tarmac. - If you really want a break down of the terrain, there was some info on the event website.
