Dirty Duck is a good call

If you want good quality pub grub, with excellent service add the Old Thatch Tavern to your list, no way near as picturesque (Duck is hard to beat for that), but the service is spot on for a pub.

A few nice around Shrewley, Claverdon & Norton Lindsey when I lived down that way, it was take your pick really. Not food but "The cases altered" at fiveways/ Haseley was ace for a beer.

Another vote for the Norman Knight, excellent pub and they allow camper van to stay free if you're eating in the pub!

Loads of walking in the area, not so sure of mountain biking though.

Thanks for all the responses! We ended up in the Bell as suggested above and I had a rather nice plate of fish and chips. Cheers!
