im looking at taking teco up on there offer of the wi-fi nexus 7 for £139 BUT my internet is run from a vodaphone mobile 3g dongle which i have a monthly contract with to run my laptop from.
has anyone had any luck with pairing the tablet with a dongle system using the correct cable adaptor and ppp aplication?
thanks
I'd get a cheap old HTC desire, put the sim from the dongle in there and set that up as a 3G wireless access point.
Then you can access on your laptop and your nexus at the same time
put the sim in a mobile wifi widget like this:

Vodafone may even give you one for free if you ask nicely.
You can get the new nexus for about £180-190. It's worth the extra IMO.
Plugging a tablet into a dongle would be all kinds of nasty to use even if it did work.
I have a TP-Link MR3020 - it's a portable wifi router, and it has a USB slot in the side for you to plug a dongle into it and share the dongle's connection.
Check yours is supported tho.
MiFi or other Mobile WiFi is the way to go.
