The wife wants a load of the stuff. We're talking 4 figures here. Anybody know how to get a decent discount?

Go elsewhere. Overpriced rubbish.

Yes, I know. However, what keeps her happy and all...
I am off to the Alps this summer mind so what ever the lady wants

Their outlet shops often have furniture in that's perfectly ok. Alternatively, see if they're linked into Quidco (or similar), and pay with a credit card/account that gives cash-back rewards!

get her to make a scrap book out of the catalogue, a couple of world of interiors & elle deco magazines then sit her infront of ebay/send her to some antique shops/auction rooms and pick up some unique and beautiful things rather then tat that will wear out rather than wear in. but do a set budget per item!!!!
