claims as far south as Norfolk.

I've not seen any but it's very cloudy here and the street lights are all over that sky.

Nice clear sky in North Wilts, but too much to hope they'd be visible down here, and there's too much light pollution in town.
And I'm not driving out into the country just on the off-chance.

Bright green sky to the north from the East Lothian coast. Someone is getting a good one further north

Faint hint of them from my bedroom window but as it's in the direction of the town centre it's not very good.

Nothing at all in Strathkinness, although I can see the Milky Way.

Probably light pollution from Dundee just about (and only just) washing it out

Nipped out, freezing and clear but still nothing. Watched a fantastic display in Canada many moons ago but only seen a few poor displays since. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I saw them from Norfolk once, quite faint, but visible. I think its best when theres no light pollution north, which is why East Anglia was good.

Took a wee jaunt into the pentlands to have a look, I wasn't sure what I was seeing earlier as it wasn't so different from normal light pollution but looking again now it's gone so that must have been it ๐Ÿ˜† Quite cool, and a lovely cold starry night as well.

Just home after a quick drive to the Meldons near Peebles. Lovely bright yellow sky heading into green higher up. No dancing lights but did not look like light pollution from Edinburgh.

Been out for a bimble in the hills, bit too much cloud low to the North but certainly noticed a greenish tinge to the sky that's not normal.

Did manage to get a good view of Jupiter just above orion to the West and hercules, bootes and Corona Borealis to the East were very bright.

Can't believe I missed it ๐Ÿ™

Was it visible to the eye, or just picked up on long exposures?

FFS if I was at home in Dundee, it'd be too cloudy.

But I'm actually in Norway, still to effing cloudy.

peterfile, it was visible to the eye in Edinburgh at times, but changed intensity so for a while I could only see it through a long exposure.

that's a great pic! But I assume the beauty of seeing it in the flesh is that it's so big & panoramic?
