[#633030]

Just been to the 'offy' and came away with 3 Newcy browns (special offer), I'd forgot how good the stuff is.

Just right for a nice summers evening

What's your summer tipple?

Erdinger Weissbier. Oooh yess!
(Though I did just tonight break a proper Muenchen-sourced-glass full of the stuff by kicking it over by accident. I have only one authentic receptacle left now (of four) .... another trip required)

PS. Haven't touched Newky Brown since University, ooh, 17 years ago now. It always intrigued me, when I was a regular on the stuff, how it, ahem, left the system in the same shape it entered: A bugger to start.. ow...ow.. here's the neck.. aaand relax..

Pimms! Made with all the fruit etc, beautiful! Glad this thread came up, was thinknig about this the other day! Anyone know what drink is advertised on Film4 sometimes, its a pale ish orange colour, and looks summery, served with ice. Not a beer or alcopops. Maybe a rum? Not sure...

I rather like Blandford Fly for it's alleged insect-repellant properties, although the Captain's suggestion is as always difficult to argue with. 🙂

Tried Abbeydale Stormbringer over the weekend, rather tasty.

But there're too many good ales to just have one for a summer!

Hop Back Summer Lightning is great indeed.

As is Bath Ales Spa.

Butcombe (cue s****s) Ales here in Brizzle have turned their remarkable beer making skills to making "Butcombe Blond" which is technically a bitter but looks just like a lager (uses very pale malt) and some Czech hops I think. On draught, it looks like you're having a nice cold lager but tastes a hell of a lot better than the yellow shite in your mates' glasses.

I love Spring/Summer for the new beers that appear from the breweries.
