After reading that above I checked it out and my Google Wallet says the driving licence thing only works for US licences.
Which is a shame.

well thats my parade rained on. 🙁

i see that 'we' will need to wait for Gov.UK to create its own wallet, to securely hold official uk gov type stuff - i wonder how it will compare with the current offerings...... maybe this should be cross posted to the UK Government thread

TBH I'd be happy if I could just get my National Entitlement Card on it.

Bought for our holiday last year as I only needed to take a few select items and have since realised I was carrying far too much crap everywhere and haven't gone back to a bulky trad wallet.

Tbh, they aren’t ‘slim’ wallets, but honestly, how much use are ‘slim’ wallets in real life anyway? Does anyone actually only carry three or four cards and a couple of tenners?

I'm here shocked that people still have wallets. All my payment cards are on my phone and I can't remember the last time I spent cash. I have an old wallet at home with the physical cards and by driving license in it, but that almost never leaves the house.

Google Wallet happily scanned my UK licence and recognised it as such.  It's the "official verified ID" slot which requires a passport (in the UK).

I bought one of these in 2022 in Raw Tan and it's worn in nicely.

So I went with a metal one, this thing

I wasn't sure if it would turn out bulky or annoying in some way so tried the cheap temu/shien/aliexpress thing rather than a 50 quid titanium designer version.   So far so good.  I ignore the clip and fold a few notes before tucking between the 4 or so cards i have in it.  It feels premium beyond its cost.   If it lasts 6 months plus I'll be content.   Tempted to stock up tbh!
