Clarkson for PM!
yep, i agree!
just discovered clarkson's books as well, the 'world according to...' ones, stunningly funny imho. a bargain from ebay.
and as long as my mental age is less than my physical age i'm all good!!
A pessimist is never disappointed, Darcy!
Why dont they feature cars by Ford, eg focus, puma, etc,
Toyota, lexus,
Peugot,some people actually buy them,
Hyundai, Kia, and Proton,
Vauxhall/Opel,
Saab, now bust,
Nissan/Renault,
Fiat,
and probasbly a few more coampanies who sell cars that people actually buy and drive.
Not all of us want to drive gas guzzlers, even though i do.

They are brilliant, I have read the first one.

The Top Gear of old did, then it turned more entertainment than car review/test.
If you want that sort of thing, watch Fifth Gear.

Because they are all frighteningly dull.
Adverbs. ๐
When is the penny going drop that TG isn't about "consumer advice on cars" and that it's about "entertainment" that's actually enjoyed by people of all ages and is also a very very profitable programme for the Beeb! There are endless endless other channels on tv, or plenty of other things to do while it's on. Go polish your helmet or something....
Personally, I'd much rather watch someone drive a Ferrari and dream, than see a Prius and be bored.

Nah. It's on BBC.

+1
Top Gear back, excellent, I can't wait.
Go polish your helmet or something....
Euphemism?
Lamborghini Aventador, McLaren MP4-12C, and the Noble M600 tonight, should be a good'un.
Looking forward to it. Realising it's not a travel special, but as a shorthand way of expressing my hopes, I'd like tonight to be more South America than India.

It way better than the alternatives on TV on a Sunday night.Conversation?
Reading?
I can do that any evening, and Thursday, Friday and Saturday are evenings I generally put asside for music listening. So there.

Um, the Focus has been around for years, and you do know the Puma went out of production around 2002, don't you?
Its still producing smiles on me in 2012......1 week to its MOT though and I'm shitting it. JC can stick that new Lambo up his bum!
Is the Puma that old? I didn't realise. I remember the advert with Steve McQueen.
JC can stick that new Lambo up his bum!
Now that's entertainment
My Pumas 13yrs old and in mint condition. ABS/TC isn't but hopefully...
Loving the talk of watching something "you can switch your brain off to" or "brainless entertainment".
What are you guys doing on a Sunday that exhausts your brain? Astrophysics?
Michael Palins new Europe on Dave
Get in!!!!!
Nice - reading a map while driving in busy traffic ....almost as good as the india episode!
Actually really enjoying this one ๐ I think he realised he shouldn't be using the map from his reaction
See all the Fiat Pandas? Its calling me. Buy one 8)
I'm liking it, back to the original entertaining format. Loving those three cars!
3 cars I could never afford being thrashed about, brilliant ๐
I need that Aventador in my life ๐
What are you guys doing on a Sunday that exhausts your brain? Astrophysics?
Close.
actually pretty good, and those cars ๐ฏ
good episode ๐
Good show, hope there's more of that this series, less putting cows on the car roof etc. ๐
Shame Clarkson felt it necessary to brown nose Will.I.Am
Really enjoyed that
Birdsong or Bad Boys on 5? Hmmmmmm later
best show for ages, loving the lambo !
As one of the "haters" I really enjoyed that.
Obviously had to fast forward through the news and the star/car bit but otherwise very enjoyable.
The Imola bit was great.
fast forward through the news and the star/car
snap
I tend to flick channels when this is on.
Love the Lamborghini, especially the blue stuff coming out of the exhaust.
Was I the only one to say "Who the ******** is that' when the 'star' appeared?
(I am old)
Jolly good show tonight, 3 cars i'd be lucky to get in matchbox form but i don't give a monkeys.
If you don't like it, fine....i've got the rest of the week to read books and discuss fine wine, tonight i want to stare at gearboxes and brake calipers, sue me. Who knows, i may even look at some boobs later and play Call of Duty, it's something to do with freedom of choice. If you don't like it don't watch it, nobody is forcing you, just stop moaning that other people do.
Birdsong was excellent, double whammy with Top Gear as the warm up...
What a waste of an hour! I cant think of a single redeeming feature in the whole show...
Honestly if I was a tax payer & not sat in my Cayman Island Villa right now I would be seething with anger!
Clarksons a a complete plum with eyebrows that Emmet Brown would be proud of..
And the moaning starts even before thr programme is aired...I take it that you won't be tuning in, then?
I haven't watched it yet, I went by the link in the trailer towards the start of the thread.
Fastest Formula 1 Racing Lap of Imola - 1:25.5
Clarksons Fastest lap of Imola (in a production car) - 1:59.1
Now that's pretty impressive I reckon !!?
Love the program-makes me wish I had a TV.
