got the nod today - totally chuffed to bits!

told current employer and a bit suprised.

meeting on wednesday and so fingers crossed for 4 weeks of 'garden' leave!!!!

YEY!

Whats garden leave?; heard a few times now? I had a interview today for a new job rang monday just asking and theyre after someone, purely off the cuff random phone call, ive applied 3 times in the past and to no avail but interview went ace, the usual youl be doing this, we expect this and a few times sounded i allready had the job so await a call tomorrow and if so my current boss can swivel ohhhh yeah!!!! Happy days for two people at least eh lol

Got garden leave a few years ago. Best. Month. Ever. Still had the company car so I disappeared with the car, bike and tent for a month.

Usually leaving Company A to work for Company B and both companies are rivals or in the same industry. You get sent home as soon as you hand your notice in and spend your notice period at home. Better than you having access to sensitive material you might pass to your new employer.

I had 4 weeks of gardening leave last year... it was brilliant 🙂

Try not to get too used to lying in though, it makes it very hard to start the new job on the right foot!
