How long should it take to get used to a new prescription? I have a weaker prescription now (went from -2.5 to -2.25) but even after 4 days distance sight is pretty poor.

I expected a bit of a 'change' when I first put them on, but this is getting a bit silly.

I'll see them (or not) tomorrow

Opticians can usually measure the prescription of a lens so it shouldn't be too difficult to see if the lenses are wrong or your prescription is wrong.

My new glasses make my CRT TV look like HD.

A quarter of a diopter ain't much difference. Certianly nothing that you'd expect to have to "get used to".

As BigJohn said, they can easily check the strength of the prescription anyway.

I have had issues with PD (distance between pupils) being incorrect on one occassion though. They re-glazed with same prescription plus correct PD and all was good. ๐Ÿ™‚

Take them back. I had this a few weeks ago. Mine was due to an error in the prescription.

My optician sorted them FOC. I'm glad I bought from a local shop rather than online it was pretty easy to sort out.
