Need to renew some fencing down one side of my garden..
Its half hidden by a wood store and a shed so aesthetics arent a huge issue.
Last few fences ive made myself from pressure treated timber.

Are the budget panels just junk??
Like this wickes set
http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Pressure-Treated-Overlap-1-8mx1-8m-10-Pack/p/137118

Was thinking just postcreting some new posts in and wap up some panels.
Any thoughts on panels or just make my own fence?
On a bit of a budget so no fancy pants premade panels.

Can you make them out of decent wood for a similar price to budget pre-made? If so then get your tools out.

Worth going to the store to check them out I guess though. But be prepared to walk away.

I put a fence up similar to that at my old house before I moved. Cheap but did the job.

It might be worth trying your local sawmill, mine was cheaper than Wickes when I checked, especially the posts.

Wickes and B&Q ones tend to be poor. We have these which are real heavy duty panels and look great too. Try a sawmill near you.

I did a lot of searching for the best price and delivery.
Bought from these in the end: http://www.buyfencingdirect.co.uk/

(Not capable of making me own!)

i just replaced a stretch of fence made up of those panels with a pressure treated close boarded fence. the panels were junk and one of them which is against an allotment opposite just fell off when i pushed it! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ new fence is much better. took about 1 1/2 days to put 18m worth up and costs from our local timber yard were similar to panels

I'd do post and rail type fencing as easy peasy to do and more solid than panels. Just remember the wood will shrink so overlap if you want no gaps.
