[#7072109]

Having been off the bike for the past 5 years due to babies being born, Hip op ,etc, etc, etc. I thought it was time to get back out on the bike. Looking around the web and found this site. So saying a quick hello, I don't need to know what tyres for taking the kids to school or what stem for a pub run , I ride an old 2010 hardtail with old skool 26" wheels , still a few bits missing but will be built by Friday. Then off to Haldon for a few weeks to get my body back in shape .

Wilkommen, fellow 'un-hip' person.

What did you have? Mine were bilateral hip arthroscopies to solve FAI issues.
Seems to have worked...

Being fat and riding a 26" hard tail is the new niche. Gone are beards and single speeds. In is fat and 26" wheels.

What happens if you've got a 26" SS hardtail and you're a bearded fatty?

Wait! There's rum?

Excellent!

OP, is your bike grey? If it is, be wary, The Pinkster will start stalking you. He's like that.

Welcome!

I'm 26"

Isn't that a little uncomfortable in the trouser department?

I don't need to know what tyres for taking the kids to school or what stem for a pub run

Someone will tell you anyway.

26" bloater here too (although I have got one 29er for local rides as there's nothing to bend the wheels on round here).

This is a flare. They light things up.

This is a flair. It's a bike trick.

But, look at Binners there, doesn't that make it all worthwhile?
