If so, any opinions?
Am a massive Neilson fan, having used them a lot to Sivota and Skioni, just fancied a different location for a change!
Funnily enough having been to Ortakent three times we're off to Sivota this year for a change. Any tips? What's the mtbing like?
For Lemnos, have you tried their forum? It's usually pretty honest.
Happy to help with some Sivota tips for you....
1 - STEPS! Lots and lots of STEPS! ๐ Have a bag with anything/everything you might need during the day as you really don't want to trek up from the pontoon/beach to your room too often!
2 - *Cue German accent* - "Bend zee arms und straighten zee knees!- Learn to ski/wakeboard with Andreas. He's a legend. Really, he is. Make sure you don't miss his stint at the ski show!
3 - Take the Stavros Express boat around to Sivota for dinner and eat at Georgios Family Restaurant (if it's still there!)
4 - Drink ice cold Mythos from frozen glasses at the bar halfway up the steps (Did I mention steps?) as you watch the sun go down!
5 - Find out what happens on the "Adults only beach" on the hotel side of the water!
6 - Take a canoe out in to the caves
7 - Do not, whatever anyone says, be tempted in to a round the island swim. It's a lot further than you think!
8 - It's not the best place for wind junkies as the area is a little sheltered. Great to learn sailing/windsurf though.
9 - Wasps. There were plenty of them last time I went, but no one got stung
10 - Steps. Did I mention steps?

Yes me, last October, riding is mainly fire roads and roads.
They end the week with a timed climb up the big hill that dominates the surrounding area, good fun with the timed run back down over taking the roadies that might beat you going up.
The Hotel was refurbished 2 years ago I think good standard of decoration
Lots to do in the evenings, all you can eat food wise, wine is expensive on site as is the beer, but they did have one night with a half price deal!
Sailing wise very good, not as big as Porto Heli.
The speed boat trip is recommended.
We hired a car for one day and drove all over the Island, very rural and undeveloped compared to other Greek islands.
We booked last minute and got a very good deal. I would book even later if I went again.
The time of year we went there was quite a few small screaming kids but there is a adults only restaurant area, and the last week of the season weather wise you could be unlucky.
Ta CFH. So how's the mtbing?
Not sure! I never ride when out with Neilson, far too busy on the water! (Or in it, when falling off a wakeboard!)However, the local area looked good and hilly!
NigE5, what was the wakebaording/ski set up like there?
Yes they do wakeboarding and watersking, I think that's an extra. Straight out across the bay and back. There was to much wind and then not enough when we were there.
They do have a forum for Limnos on the Neilson site.
I can't believe how much flashy's publishing about his holidays online.
