My surround sound amp (Sony) has recently blown as is currently being worked on by the (electronic engineer) father in law to see if he can fix it. We have the right part but he says its blow right through the board so not holding out much hope.
If he cant fix it I will be needing a new Amp, but my 40" sony tv is also showing signs of age and my bluray player is really sluggish.
So was thinking if the Amp was unfixable I may splash out on a new TV, amp and bluray.
Was thinking a 55" TV, with 3D, and also 3d Bluray. had my eye on the Panasonic 55" for a while, but wasnt sure whether to go for LCD/LED/Plasma/OLED etc or should I be also thinking about a 4K compatible TV now??
Also could I get a 3D and 4K compatible amp now and continue to use my NON 3D tv and bluray until I can afford the TV and bluray?
