Trails and roads were too icy for safely riding on, so I hiked up West Lomond. Strange feeling not pushing a bike.

I left early to catch the frost, the snow was hard enough to walk upon. I met a guy putting crampons just below the last climb up to the summit. I thought, thats a bit over the top. I contoured around the North (frozen) side, I'd say crampons would have been well worthwhile!
