I have somehow knackered my foot during Monday night. Excruciating pain along the top from the middle of the foot to 3 inches or so up the shin, mainly, although last night up to the knee, and then down to the ankle bones. Ibuprofen and Paracetamol aren't making any difference. No visible swelling. Only thing I can think of is if I did that pointing toes stretch and something went ping? Don't really want to bother the doctor - What's wrong? - My foot hurts - What happened? - No idea 🙂
Is this just an age thing where spontaneous injuries occur?

Sounds like some kind of insect bite to me. Or you have been sleepwalking into a Stephen King novel.
Did you sleepwalk over to my house and kick me in the back because I woke up this morning feeling like someone gave me a good kicking last night.

I often wake up with no pillows and mysterious bruises or pains.
Don't think it's any of those either. Bit early for midges!
