my wife is cool
She was out with my kids at a local park yesterday when a commotion broke out with a group of kids nearby which ended up with one of them getting stabbed in the stomach.
My wife marched over, took control of the situation (the guy with the knife had already left the scene), pushed the kids guts back in to a big wound and applied pressure whilst organising an ambulance/police etc.
Kid ended up getting airlifted out and is stable.

Where abouts did this happen?

didn't have time last night, she came home stuck her bloodied clothes in the washing machine and went off to her aikido training!
are you supposed to reinsert 'bits' or wait for them to be cleaned?

don't know, i think it was a case of either watching them spill out or stopping them 😯

Don’t know, but isn’t normal procedure is to stem the flow of blood, and it might be difficult to do that if something is protruding out of the wound. I guess in that situation you have to do what you think gives the kid the best chance of survival.
Well done Mrs Yossarian.
Blimey - huge respect to your wife Yoss. Takes a lot of guts (pun not intended) and cool headedness to do that sort of thing.
Very very impressive. Is she a nurse or a doctor?
Hope the poor kid is okay.
Amazing, stuff. Someones getting laid tonight!
she does aikido, she has my respect, is a great martial art
good for her.

Judgement call I guess. They can always give a good clean in theatre but she probably reduced contamination overall I guess
