Indeed; not too shabby and a few positives to take on to the next match.

There’s a fellow in the crowd who’s very happy about all the NZ short pitch bowling.

Freakish wicket and it swings back to England.

NZ top order still having trouble. 5 out of 7 made 14

Out in the Caribbean so no access to live sport today, but I was following the match on live txt. We really can beat anybody on our day.

The thrashing of our A team in the WI is much more worrying.

^ Lions bowling was ok - only one top six WI batsman from the top six exceeded 16; it was just the not uncommon calypso collapso of the tail. Hardly thrashing territory.

Not today, but the whole series, especially the tests.

Yup; they didn’t shower themselves in glory & lost the battle of the spin. As a Somerset fan, I’m glad our spin twins got some pre-season action, but given how we’re under scrutiny from the pitch on the last match of the season, I doubt there’ll be much for them at home this year.

Caribbean? Notwithstanding your likely current professional restrictions, any opinions for the rum thread?

Drlex - I’m more of a whisky man, but I bring back my missus rum. She is a fan of Chairman’s Reserve from St Lucia. I was going to visit the distillery on my day off, but it was closed sundays, so we went for a 4hr offshore paddle board trip instead.

That was rough; another dodgy LBW decision against them too, which scuppered their DLS target. Just been enjoying the PSL eliminator after.

@dan - thanks; what a nice plan B!

Seems they did well to make 58! 😂 Blame 20/20?

NZ showing how it's done.

I was there ( I've just got in)  it was truely stunning As has been reported in the press they batted as if they couldn't see the ball.

At 23-7 the 26 record was seriously under threat before Overton hit the ball for four. Then at 27-9 I thought I'd be witnessing a piece of English cricket history

Theres  a fair bit of rain forecast  for over the weekend if it doesn;t finish tomorrow

I felt the Pink ball is harder to see at the ground once the lights are on than it is on the TV where it seems to glow
