If he's a man with presumably a beard, what's he still doing at school?
Paedo?
"Imagine this scenario;
What if he was a terrorist and he did have a bomb....would the women who complained now be hailed as heroes for having a questioning attitude? Afterall, they'd have just saved the lives of a bus load of folk. "
No because it is just utter bollocks the chances of the racist woman being correct are so vanishingly small you would have to condone Mass exclusion from public transport for all sorts of groups, Men (all rapists)Christians ( homophobic murderers of DRs ) Jews ( they kill Palestinians ) Palestinians ( they kill jews ) Irish ( catch all blame group) I could go on but it is tedious ..

When I was at school, in 4th year so 15, there was a guy with a ginger beard in our year. He wasn't Muslim, or a racist, might be now though, both or either. He wasn't a pedo at that time, too young probably.
okay ... the thread has now developed into or am I right in reading that ...
A Muslamic man who was going to detonate a bomb using semtex disguised as printer cartridge was being found out and later thrown out from boarding the coach by a racist woman, the racist woman is now a hero.

edit: ... and the people on the bus have been referred to as chronic self indulgents.

And I think that proves you should never judge a book by it's cover.
Wasn't it "Bus Stop Winkers" IIRC?
Hope he sues.
I don't get it...
We're encouraged to report suspicious activity or persons are we not? I mean you've only got to stand on a train platform for 4mins these days to hear two announcements of that kind..
Did the woman actually say she thought he was acting or behaving suspiciously? It's hard to read into the story because we only seem to get one side of it.
Just sayin.
as per usual a non story, man gets on coach with large piece of luggage, and is asked to place it in the under floor lockers, due to the risk of an accident and the large piece of luggage injuring another passenger, if luggage doesnt fit in the overhead lockers then it should go under floor, as on all airlines.
Both the coach and bus station will have cctv, and a full invetigation will be undertaken by National express and the coach operator.
I still don't understand how anyone knew he was a Muslim?
(Other than the turban of course)

Ermmm!

A gentleman is let on the coach despite his luggage, a woman complains as he looks shifty. So they make the excuse he has too much luggage.
Perhaps she would have been less inclined to complain if there were sections on the bus for different types of people to sit in. What could possibly go wrong then?
there are rules regarding what a passenger can take on a psv or coach, driver was just enforcing the rules.
must remember to complain next time i go NE, about a shifty passenger,it does seem to have quite a few

So why were not enforced until the woman said the guy was shifty?

I think that was an attempt at humour by ninfan. Although he might appear incredibly daft at times I don't think he's that uneducated.
did the two parts of this story intertwine and form a good story for a local paper, 3 sides to this story, NE side , the woman who complained and the truth.
Megabus also run to london from Bristol and offer cheaper fairs.
I wouldnt want to be travelling on a coach with an unrestrained printer sitting on the seat near me, remember its a legal requirment to wear a seat belt on all coaches, by all pasengers and the driver, so that in the even of a collision pasengers are not flung round the coach and through the windows
"Stainless-steel strike bezel that serves as a last resort defensive option"
What does this mean in reference to the torch pictured above?

Made or adapted to cause injury to the person I'd say...

Surely the sensible solution would have been to just simply ensure that the printer was wearing a seat belt ?

I was hoping that.

Printerist!
Nice to see things have moved on so far in Bristol.

How shifty can someone look?
Will the paper find said fello and print a picture, and we all backtrack saying "to be fair".

I hate that app too. ๐

Edit: I thought pinterest was one of those sexy-apps! Move along, nothing to see here ๐
I'm struggling to believe this is a real version of events. The person asked to get off the bus needs to come forward to the Police as if he was aksed the leave the bus due to religious discrimination the driver and National Express need to be prosecuted.
(amazingly no one has done this yet) why didn't they just sort out the printer
[quote=chip ]Will the paper find said fello and print a picture
Have they not got their own printer?
Last time I sat next to a muslimist on the train he gave me a packet of crisps. Good times. You obviously get a different class of people on busses compared to trains though so I knew I wouldn't get blown up.

We are, but "being brown" isn't suspicious in and of itself.
This whole story is odd, and I suspect we're getting snippets of 'facts' rather than a realistic overview of what happened. It's not clear (to me) from the report as to what made the women nervous; whether it was their racism, whether he'd "invented a clock" and was being deliberately provocative, or whether he had an explosive LaserJet 4 in his hand luggage.
Perhaps the biggest mistake is, the driver making the call rather than escalating it within NE?

you still dont get it the DRIVER, man who actually drives the coach IS THE MAN OR WOMAN IN CHARGE OF THE COACH AND THE SAFETY OF ITS PASSENGERS, like i said previously the driver will be interviewed annd so will the coach station staff , on board and external cctv will be examined and a report produced, and will be acted upon.
Get on a plane and more onerouus rules always apply, and the captain always has the first and last word or the plane doesnt move or lands at first available airport.
Religion has nothing to do with passenger safety.

Are you implying that Ahmed Mohamed was being deliberately provocative?
