Brontide. I came across them upstairs at New Slang in Kingston a little while ago and they absolutely stunned me.

They're touring at the moment, playing the Borderline in London on Friday. A bargain at a mere £6!

Ooh there's some good stuff on here! Thanks everyone!

I love a bit of slide blues, and difficult instrumental stuff.

Second Lou Rhodes, although she's perhaps a bit better known as the lead singer with Lamb.
Gemma Hayes, an outstanding songwriter, possessed of a really beautiful voice, is criminally underrated, and to top it all is a stunning looking girl, and really sweet with it.

Kata Gao, just released an album on Soundcloud, done entirely on a shoestring, look for it under the name Katamusic. Her actual name is Cat Goscovitch, but she spends time in China, and has a Chinese boyfriend, and does martial arts videos, so modified her name to be more user friendly. She released an album on Sony in the mid 90's to much acclaim under the name of Nut, called Fantanicity. The latest album's called Breaking Up With You Is The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me.
