Hi all
the blade boss on my mower has broken up with no sign of the key.
I know I can replace the boss but just checking if it is either 4 or 5 mm, any experience of these mowers
No idea but maybe measure the size of the slot on the shaft.
Check Mountfield on the web or ring a mountfiled dealer probably best bet. At least you're blade is fitted with a key...unlike ours, which my wife found out wasn't when she managed to bend the shaft...
The actual shaft has on one side a plain vertical key way, whilst the other side has two semi circular pockets for a woodruff key.

Well all sorted, new boss fitted using 4mm woodruff key.
