If 917 is your favourite car ever like me, you may enjoy the sights and sounds of this little five minute feller. ๐
Ok, if it's not obvious I have another night to myself. This I love - great sound, looks great to drive, top retro aceness. ๐
There's a cracking documentary about the horrific crash at Leeds Man's in 1955. Deadliest Crash it's called. A sporting catastrophe, but a good programme, if that's not a contradiction. The closing moments brought a tear to my eye.
My last contribution for the evening - great driver having fun for the camera in the wet.
pondo - cheers, just watched the 917 vid and not onto the 250 GTO. Awesome!
Part 1 of what looks to be a great doc here :

Best motorsport documentary I've seen:

Red Mist Stuff-great programme featuring a Couple of stateside sports car races in the '80s. Very retro but fantastic to watch!
PSA to say Weekend Of A Champion is on 4 tomorrow at five to six in the morning, a Roman Polanski fly-on-the-wall documentary about Jackie Stewart at the 1972 Monaco Grand Prix, quite interesting.
The BBC did a series a few years back called Racing Legends.
Episodes no longer available on iPlayer but they are on YouTube:
Some great TV there.
This is quite interesting.
Le Mans - racing is everything on Netflix is a good watch.
interesting to watch the behind the scene stuff with various drivers, including the guy who got a seat with Nissan coming from a gaming background playing Gran Turismo tournaments.
This is quite interesting -
Big fan of Gordon Murray but innovations to dodge anti-ground effect rules were a bit offside, IMHO.
F1 like any competitive sport is about getting the most competitive edge you can whilst remaining within the regs. Governing bodies are forever changing regs to outlaw innovations they feel are outside the spirit of what their previous regs allowed whilst actually being legal.
