Unfortunately (for you, BB), that exposes Chancery Lane. Tut tut tut, you really should have scoped those rising diagonals.

Mudchute still makes me chuckle. 😆

A skip, hop and a jump to Aldgate East.

I'll see your charing cross and I'll raise you with bromley by bow. (Mosely's variation, I think you'll find).

Interesting.

But have you not forgotten the 1976 Cumberbatch clause, specifically designed to limit that particular sort of nefarious play?

School's finished, so I can avoid the crush at Grange Hill.

I was rather enjoying the direction we were going actually.

So.. Hornchurch

Just in before the 5PM rush hour too, wouldn't want to end up in Lord Farquarson's snare now would I?

Nine Elms - I'm assuming that's allowed in this variation, though I might be getting ahead of myself there

Well played sir, before rush hour and you'd have been huffed into the middle of next week with that one.

OK, I'll make a double play with Battersea in that case - let's see you lot get out of that one.

I think you'll find that the laterals are still closed.

Penge West to Penge East via Cafe St Germain. With extra cake points if you do it on a singlespeed.

😳 Just Earls Court then.
[EDIT] Too late, Brooess has blocked me. Think I'll just watch this game now I've made a fool of myself

Being a beginner at this I clearly haven't thought this through. 😆

Guess that means I'll have to go to Hainault then. Which, with the dropped H and the glottal stop, always sounds rude to me...

I don't think you're allowed to go straight from Marble Arch to Mornington Crescent, not even using the '67 derivative. Not unless they've changed the rules since I last checked. Game still on in that case - I'm going to invoke the Leytonstone gambit here and go for Heathrow Terminal 4 - clearly I couldn't get there from Marble Arch, so need to use the gambit to start from a previous illegal move.

This is Cadiz 1587 all over again. Except for Heathrow Term 5. Obviously, it would have been Term 1.

I can't bear this.

It's 'CRESCENT' and seeing the thread title constantly popping up on the top of the thread list is grating more each time I see it.

Don't do it. You'll only fall foul of the cunning trap Flash has set.

He knows that devilish 1937 Clapham amendment better than anyone I've ever met, and often spins it into an evil web of trickery.

Striking a diagonal to Harlesden.

Striking a diagonal to Harlesden.

Doesn't meet the 1688 French crochet requirements (v3.8.92). I call foul.

Sorry to break this to you old bean but the 1688 French crochet was repealed following the 3rd Conclave of the revisions board in May 2007. The conclave was split 50/50 but it went through when the chairman invoked Hutchinson's breaker.

Note that the English and Belgian crochets remain in place for now unless playing on a saints day.

Maybe Mr Jazz could lend you his current copy of the rules so that you can have a bit of catch up.

Anyhow, where were we, Harlesden eh? Tricky.

I'm dead chuffed with that. I try and sneak in with a clever move and find that the great Flashy is of asimilar mind. It's like pre-empting a chess grandmaster.

If people thought like that at the DoT there'd be no need for HS2
