Ta 🙂

Made a place for my iccle fridge to go..

Made a worktop too out of birch ply but after cutting, gluing, forming an upstand and varnishing, I noticed its got patches in the veneer which the varnish has shown up. Not sure I can live with it, might have to go on the woodpile...

whats behind your choice of lumber ....looks like your putting in some heavy weight timbers and ply's there

all adds up mind.

The ply worktop was an indulgence. Its only 12mm with another 12 glued around the edge to give a bit more chunk. With the sink and hob cut outs theres not a lot of it left. Everthing else is very light, the kitchen carcass you could lift with a flaccid cock...probably. Not decided on doors yet but ply will be involed.. I do like a bit of exposed ply 🙂

It is getting a bit designer int it. No fear, it'll look cheap and shit in the end 😀

Not sure my wide birthing hips would fit through that gap;)

Looking good though loads of progress there

🙂 its more of an emergency exit than main entrance. Looks wider at the top than at bottom there, may have to go and measure that...

Still plodding on...

This happened

[img] [/img]

A job I've been putting off for fear of f***ing it up but all went well

Running water in a van never ceases to amaze

[img] [/img]

Wide vinyl hung(?) on the ceiling, finally a finished surface!

[img] [/img]

Spots over kitchen and bits of stretchy carpet here and there

[img] [/img]

Still so much to do but feels like I've turned a bit of a corner as a few bits get their final finish.
Just about functional as a camper though so maiden voyage is imminent.. 🙂

Looking good. Where are you putting the water tank, just in a cupboard underneath the sink? Been debating whether it's worth the hassle of underling water/waste(/gas) tanks.

Fresh tank is in garage, eating in to my bike stowage space but rather that than have it freeze. Waste is, well I havent got one yet so its draining through the floor and into a bucket if I need to. My gas is calor exchange refillable under the hob. I had an lpg tank fitted on the motorhome but found it a bit of a pain looking for a garage that sells it, this was in Spain though, perhaps easier here.
You got your van yet?

EDIT; Tank is here

What sink and tap have you got, particularly like the tap. They are on my purchase list for tomorrow...

Taps a household tap from Screwfix. The sink is a Smev but its a bit pants tbh, barely any lip to seat it in your worktop, no rubber seal, the brackets are crap and the waste is a waste of space so not really recommended

Wallpaper has happened!..

Not so keen on the stretchy carpet look but it hides a multitude of sins and the only option on the bulkhead which has been a bit of a pain in the arse to work around as nothing is square but done and looks ok ish. The curtains are ace, off the shelf generic campervan curtains from Kiravans.

More wallpaper for the splashback

Still lots to do, mainly the shower which is non existent but even wannabe pikeys have to wash occasionally 🙂

Nice work. Looking good. Though not sure I'd want to wake up with a hang over 😉

Well that took some doing!
Finally got the shower built and up and (kinda) running...

[img] [/img]

Happy with the look. Not used in anger yet as I'm waiting for a curtain (couldn't work out a way to fit a door that wouldn't leak so a curtain will do - for now..)

Thats it,

Done! 🙂
