We* are after an overproof pan - large frying pan type - so what brands does STW recommend!

*I say 'we' - I really mean the wife who swoons over James Martin using these things! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have a few different pans from here. They seem pretty indestructible.

I suggest you clarify what you want, since a 'large frying pan type pan which is ovenproof' is not very clear.

It would help if you gave us some idea of what exactly you looking to use it for/cook in it, including the style of cooking. For example, are you looking for a pan which you can use to sear/brown meat on the hob, and then continue cooking in the oven with the addition of a sauce etc.? Does it need a lid?

Here are a couple of pans which might fit your description but are quite different.

If its just a frying pan you are after I can recommend CIRCULON.
Had our for years. No longed non stick enough for things like pancakes but great for fish and meat.
All metal construction goes straight in the oven.
Often the type used by the TV chefs.

I've got an unbranded cast iron fry pan that does exactly that quite often.

Was bought for three quid from tk Max years ago.

So in the best stw style I'm recommending what I've got ๐Ÿ˜‰

I bought one of these which quickly became my go to pan for most things.

works on any heat source and can go in the oven. I was sceptical about the n on-stick coating but after over 2 years of use it still looks new.
