Hi, does anyone know (from experience, not a map) which mobile phone networks cover Coniston in the Lakes. I'm going up there next week, but as my dad's ill I want to get a cheap PAYG phone so my mum can call if needed, and I know my Virgin phone won't work there. Thanks.

My Orange had coverage on the Old hall camp site, in the Village and up on Walna Scar. NO coverage in Duddon Valley though.
Thanks Lowey, that's a real help. I didn't fancy calling from the box every few hours, and driving to Ambleside just to use my phone.
Although Biketreks is in Ambleside... 😉
O2 works there- did for me away!
No Vodaphone signal in Duddon Valley on Sunday
Not much available at Grizedale, though some on the tops.
Three worked in coniston village after a fashion - but fairly poor reception most networks
