Mince pies and 'scorched tongue'

Does anyone else get this? Is it a problem?

I’ve been eating mince pies (mostly home made), and getting a scorched tongue recently, similar to what you get when you lick fresh lava. And by the sounds of it, I don’t even scoff as much as some of you on here do.

Is this avoidable? Is it just down to rushing them?

It’s God’s way of telling you that microwaves are for idiots.

I like to cool them down by using brandy butter.

If no brandy butter is available, extra thick double cream, or at a push, vanilla ice cream.

Oh go on, I'll have another if you do. About 30 seconds on high, you reckon?

In my previous and currant work place, I'm the only person who likes mince pies!
